Authorized and Prohibited Items

Prohibited Items

Due to heightened security requirements, containers such as backpacks, coolers, camelbacks or other
similar backpack/liquid carrying devices, and large bags will be prohibited on the airfield.
Some exceptions will be made for items such as diaper bags, purses, and folding lawn chairs, but visitors
must submit them to security personnel for an inspection. Large purses (tote bag type) are not
permitted.

Weapons are strictly prohibited. Weapons include, but are not limited to, firearms, blades (including
pocket knives and all-purpose tools, i.e. Leatherman), and blunt objects. Patrons with firearms will be
asked to leave the installation or their weapons will be confiscated and will not be returned.

Other prohibited items are as follows:
• Weapons (regardless of permit) including firearms, knives (including pocket knives and multi
tools), replica or toy weapons, pepper spray or stun guns
• Ammunition or any form of explosives (ie. Fireworks)
• Alcoholic beverages, unless purchased from approved vendors
• Remote control devices that operate on land or air (cars, planes, drones, etc.)
• Ice chests or coolers
• Pets, other than service animals
• Illegal drugs and/or paraphernalia to include marijuana and medical marijuana.
• Flammable liquids
• Glass containers
• Bicycles, roller skates, roller blades, Heelys, scooters, skateboards, or Segway-style human
transporters
• Backpacks (diaper bags allowed after inspection)
• Laser Pointers
• Tents, Portable or temporary awnings, cabanas
• Outside food and beverages
• Items not listed above subject to denial

Authorized Items

Hand-carried food or drinks are permitted, but not coolers or backpacks with food.
Small fanny packs are permitted, subject to approval by gate security personnel and a hand-search at
the security checkpoint.

Small purses are permitted, subject to approval by gate security personnel and a hand-search at the
security checkpoint. Large purses (tote bag type) are not permitted.

Sunscreen and ear protection are recommended.

Folding chairs are permitted. If your folding chair comes in a carrying-case, please have it out for
inspection.

Children’s strollers are permitted.
All items brought are subject to approval by gate security personnel and a hand-search at security
checkpoint.

Other authorized items are as follows:
• Personal carts or wheelchairs for physically challenged visitors
• Small Diaper bags for guests with small children
• Small women's purses
• Strollers for small children
• Official service dogs
• Cameras or video recorders; must be small enough to carry by hand
• Binoculars
• Folding Chairs
• Hearing protection
• Sunglasses
• Sunhats/baseball caps
